Choosing solar in home remodeling can offer several benefits, both environmentally and economically. Learn from industry expert, Jake Hassid of Simply Solar, on reasons why homeowners should consider incorporating solar power into their home remodeling projects below AND any questions that attendees have on solar!

  • Cost Savings: Solar panels can significantly reduce electricity bills by generating your own clean energy. Over time, the initial investment in solar panels can lead to long-term savings on energy costs.
  • Environmental Impact: Solar power is a renewable and clean energy source that produces electricity without emitting harmful greenhouse gases. Using solar energy helps reduce your carbon footprint and contributes to environmental sustainability.
  • Energy Independence: By generating your own solar power, you become less dependent on traditional utility providers. This can be especially valuable during power outages or energy crises.
  • Increased Home Value: Homes equipped with solar panels are often considered more attractive to potential buyers. Solar installations can increase the resale value of a property, making it a wise investment for homeowners.
  • Government Incentives: Many governments offer financial incentives, tax credits, or rebates to encourage the adoption of solar energy. Taking advantage of these incentives can make the initial cost of solar installation more affordable.
  • Low Maintenance: Solar panels generally require minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning and occasional checks are usually sufficient to keep them operating efficiently.
  • Technological Advances: Solar technology continues to advance, with improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Choosing solar during a home remodel ensures that you are incorporating the latest and most efficient solar technology.
  • Energy Storage Options: Pairing solar panels with energy storage solutions, such as batteries, allows homeowners to store excess energy for later use. This provides a reliable power source during periods of low sunlight or power outages.

Before deciding to go inform your clients to go solar for their next remodel, it’s essential to assess factors like the location of your home, available sunlight, local regulations, and upfront costs. Consulting with a solar professional can help determine the feasibility and potential benefits specific to your situation.
